| Asus P6T Deluxe Review - ASUS has literally jam-packed just about every feature they could muster onto a new board, and they’ve done it successfully. With CrossfireX and SLI support and a stunning overclocking tool in TurboV, the P6T really lets the i7 chips stretch their legs, posting some eye-watering performance numbers. Factor in Express Gate which can be very useful and a few other high-end tools, and this motherboard is probably one of the most well-rounded we’ve seen to date. It runs fast, it runs far, and it runs stable; there really isn’t a better way to put it. The layout is superb, and really the only detractions from an otherwise perfect setup are the lack of a Clear CMOS button and the PCIe positioning that won’t allow 3-way SLI when using stock cooling. But this may be nitpicking. The price of entry here isn't cheap, currently costing about $300, but that’s the going rate for most X58 motherboards, and certainly if you want one as feature-packed as the P6T Deluxe. That being said, the ASUS P6T Deluxe is probably one of the best motherboards we’ve encountered, harnessing and pushing the full potential of the Core i7 platform. ASUS has done an outstanding job on this board, serving up equal parts beauty and functionality in what comes close to the most complete package we’ve ever seen. |

This new chip deliver significantly better performance per clock cycle compared to the previous LGA775 system, also it has more power-efficient than its predecessors. No doubt the Core i7 (Nahalem) is a great chip and also it has much more complex circuitry design than the Penryn family, it can handles everything you throw at it with ease.
