About me - the owner

All items are my personal property and have been since new. There is only 1 of each, so don't miss out!

I have been shooting Nikon since the late 80's and had 12 Nikon cameras. I always look after my gear, and store them in airtight Pelican style cases.

However the last few years I have gotten more interested in mirrorless systems and Fuji in particular and have now decided to completely transition to mirrorless.

Nikon vs Fuji

In simple term, Nikon FX (=full frame) is higher image quality to the Fuji APS-C sensor (almost same size as Nikon DX). Nikon also has the edge in AF speed and accuracy. For me, the smaller size of the Fuji gear makes it attractive, and I just can't afford to run 2 systems in parallel. Hence the Nikon items are up for sale.

Condition

All my gear is in excellent condition.

Other Items

  1. Set of 3 Hansa extension tubes for macro - Offers?

Nikon Flash Guns

  1. SB-400 - Offers?
  2. Nikon external flash battery booster. This takes 6 AA batteries in ADDITION to the SB800's 5 internal batteries, and gives sub second recycling time on full power flashes, as well as extended number of flashes before needing to change batteries. An absolute essential item for event photography.
  3. Nikon Ring Flash - for TTL macro. SOLD
Comes with rings to attach to the 105mm Micro Nikkor lens. I think TTL works with some of the older bodies, like the D700 or D300. With my D750 it was in manual only, but the control unit has variable power settings so it is very straight forward to use.

This is a very, very good lens. It is made with the same sturdy mechanics as the 28mm f/1.4D AF and 20-35mm f/2.8D AF.

It is especially well suited to the new Nikon D4 and D800, in fact, this is the lens with which the Nikon D3 is shown in many of Nikon's promotional photos.

This 85/1.4 has always been a favorite of portrait professionals, along with the older 85/1.4 AI-s and newer 85/1.4 G.

THis AF-D lens is the toughest 85mm autofocus lens ever made by Nikon.
